Meet Perfumer Claude Noir

As someone trained in chemistry and health sciences research, my path into perfumery was both unexpected and serendipitous. My fascination with fragrance began at age five, and since then I’ve marked the chapters of my life through scent. What began as a creative pastime has evolved into Perfumergy.

At the core of this work is the scientific discipline and curiosity that shaped my foundation as a researcher. In 2014, while in graduate school in Massachusetts, I began exploring aromatherapy, which quickly drew me into the psychology of scent. I started formulating personal blends designed not only to smell beautiful but also to mean something—to evoke calm, clarity, renewal, or inspiration. Those early experiments became the foundation for Verb Fragrances and the launch of my first brand, MA Herbals Natural Fragrance.

With Perfumergy, this vision has come fully into focus. My aspiration as a perfumer has always been to craft fragrances that transcend the ordinary, bringing depth, resonance, and a sense of connection. I hope Perfumergy’s creations invite you to experience perfume not just as a scent, but as a daily ritual that grounds you, uplifts you, and keeps you attuned to yourself.
